Meet Kaylee

I’m a certified death doula based in Nashville, TN, with a professional background rooted in the world of comedy. I understand the necessity of balancing sorrow with moments of joy, recognizing that laughter can bring light even in the darkest of times. I’m committed to incorporating these moments of levity into the end-of-life journey, offering comfort and solace to both the dying and their loved ones.
Driven by a passion for creating lasting legacies, I specialize in crafting projects that honor the lives of those nearing the end. These tangible tributes serve as reminders of love and legacy for generations to come. In addition to my work as a death doula, I’m dedicated to normalizing conversations about dying within the community. I believe in the power of creating spaces for open dialogue and connection, where individuals can come together to share their experiences, fears, and hopes surrounding death.
My goal is to organize community gatherings and events featuring speakers and comedians, offering a safe and supportive environment for people to talk openly about death. These gatherings aim to break down the stigma surrounding end-of-life conversations, fostering understanding and connection among participants.
As part of my goal to create community, I co-founded Death Doula Dialogues, especially for other death doulas and end-of -life caregivers. Collectively we create monthly events to educate, create, and connect with like minded open humans.
I have a particular place in my heart for ambiguous death and the profound loss experienced by the friends and family of addicts. Experiencing my own personal loss, I am driven to help families not only grieve but also prepare for a potentially inevitable death caused by substance abuse. This personal commitment informs my compassionate and empathetic approach, ensuring that those affected by addiction receive the support they need.
Trained under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as Sierra Campbell, Ladybird Morgan, Andrew Holecek, Chip Conley, and more, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my practice. As a volunteer at Alive Hospice, I continue to deepen my understanding and service to those navigating the end-of-life journey.
Join me on this journey of compassion, connection, and celebration of life’s profound moments, where laughter and love shine bright amidst the shadows of sorrow.
